North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has vowed to “put his hand in the hand” of Russian President Vladimir Putin and strengthen strategic cooperation to achieve their common goal of building a strong country, the official Korean Central News Agency reported.
North Korea described this conflict as a US “proxy” war to destroy Russia, condemning Western military aid to Kiev.
In January, the United States accused North Korea of supplying missiles and missiles to the Wagner Group, which Pyongyang denied.
In March, Washington said it had evidence that Moscow was looking to Pyongyang to supply weapons for its offensive in Ukraine, in exchange for food aid to North Korea.
As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, Russia has long maintained its refusal to increase pressure on North Korea, which is subject to several sanctions imposed by both the United Nations and the West over its nuclear program.
