That’s what the major newspapers write The New York Times.

The purpose of the trip is to discuss the possibility of supplying Russia with more weapons for the war in Ukraine, in addition to other military cooperation, unnamed sources told the newspaper.

North Korea’s leader does not often leave his country. Kim Jong-un will most likely travel from Pyongyang by armored train to Vladivostok on the Pacific coast of Russia.

Officials in the country say the leader may travel to Moscow, but that has not been decided.

The sources are described as officials from the United States and allied countries.

Mr. Kim also plans to visit Pier 33 where naval ships from Russia’s Pacific Fleet dock.

On Wednesday, the White House warned that Putin and Kim had exchanged letters discussing a possible arms deal, citing declassified intelligence.

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov would neither confirm nor deny the exchange of letters, but said that Russia wants to further develop relations with North Korea.
