Kim and Kourtney Kardashian’s Feud: A Step Towards Reconciliation

Viewers have had a front-row seat to the explosive divide between Kim and Kourtney since season 3. The problems began when Kourtney revealed she was angry at Kim for planning a partnership with Dominique Dolce et Stefano Gabbana which seemed to be inspired by her May 2022 wedding to Travis Barker.

“It’s horrible that my sister used my marriage as a business opportunity. She chose money over me. That’s why she never really asked me,” Kourtney explained in a July episode of the Hulu series. “It’s not that she forgot to ask me or that she thought I didn’t care. I don’t think she knew what to do if my answer was no.

Kim, however, argued that she tried to wait and specifically didn’t choose the items Kourtney wore during her wedding weekend.

“I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy? Who played at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? Andrea Bocelli,” Kim noted, referring to her and Kanye WestThe 2014 weddings abroad. “You stole my fucking wedding country and my wedding artist. Andrea Bocelli is my favorite singer of all time, but am I copying your Dolce Vita lifestyle?

The tension was seemingly resolved once filming for Season 3 wrapped, but worsened when Kim and Kourtney watched each other’s confessional interviews, affecting their relationship at the start of Season 4.

“The problem is – and I’ll be honest with you guys – last season was really difficult. Then we were done with it, had fun. We talked about it [and] everything was going well,” Kim explained to the cameras during the September season premiere about how the two almost squashed their feud. “Then we watched the edits of our show and I started hearing what she was saying about me. She hears what I say about her and then we get angry again. It evokes so many feelings.

Later in the episode, Kim and Kourtney’s problems got even worse after a dramatic phone call. Kourtney surprised viewers by blaming Kim’s behavior for their rift.

“You talk bullshit, details because that’s all your selfish, selfish mind can think about,” Kourtney said. “You can’t stand someone else being the center of attention. You came to my wedding [and] you couldn’t be happy. You complained from the second you arrived until the second you left. That’s what it’s about. Forget that you can’t be happy, you can’t be happy for me. You couldn’t be happy that I was the center of attention and you weren’t.

In response, Kim made it clear that she would not be the culprit. “What makes you feel so depressed? [about] Me? I want you to dig deep and understand why you hate me so much and why you are so angry with me. Because none of this ever happened. I was so happy for you,” she said. “Why wouldn’t I be happy for you? Because you have a serious vendetta. You hate us. You are a different person and we all talk about it.

Kourtney then broke down in tears as the sisters paced back and forth.

“Go away, life of a king. I don’t have any side discussions about anyone,” the Poosh founder retorted. “Is this useful?” It’s like you add it to the fight, so it’s you, my friends, my kids and everyone against me. You’re just a fucking witch king and I hate you.

Kourtney continued: “There are so many thoughts that come up after watching the edits. I think during the call it felt like Kim was using any weapon she could find to hurt me. [It felt like she was] using everyone as a weapon against me and we both got to a place we weren’t proud of.
