Kilmarnock fell to defeat on Saturday afternoon, losing 1-0 on the road to the Rangers in a tighter game than many expected.
Ryan Jack’s impressive volley secured all three points for the Rangers at Ibrox, and Steven Gerrard’s men couldn’t make the victory more convincing.
Kilmarnock didn’t offer much of a threat, but he was solid at the rear for the most part, with Zech Medley playing a key role.

The 20-year-old joined Killie on loan from Arsenal in January, signing a deal until the end of the season after spending the first part of the season on loan at Gillingham.
Medley’s decision was called into question when Killie fired boss Alex Dyer, but replacement Tommy Wright has given him a key role.
Medley started against the Rangers and showed strong display, showing why he is still highly regarded at Arsenal.

Killie’s fans took to Twitter to call Medley “outstanding” and “excellent”, claiming that he “directed” the game against Scotland’s best team.
Others believe he sees himself as a seasoned professional despite his relative youth, with Arsenal fans surely buoyed by these words of praise from north of the border.

I never liked a Killie loss, but again I saw enough to be hopeful for the next 8 games. I need to start scoring fast. Impressed with Medley today and Doyle looked like a goalie. Big thumbs up to TW for attacking subs and going for it in the end even though it doesn’t work.
