On the tenth of March it is time for the 96th edition of the Oscars.
There, it can be a great success for “Killers of the flower moon”, which premiered in October last year and was praised in unison by the film world.
Because when the nominations for the gala were presented on Tuesday, the film was nominated in ten of the total of 23 different categories.
Could win for Best Picture
Among other things, Lily Gladstone was nominated for best female lead and Martin Scorese is nominated for best director.
The film is also nominated in the most prestigious category of them all, namely for best film where ten different entries settle for the prize. It is also nominated for best costume, supporting actor and original score, among other categories.
The film takes place in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts serial murders of the indigenous population in the oil-rich Osage Nation, a series of brutal crimes that came to be known as the “Reign of Terror”, in Swedish approximately “kräckvelde”.
Earlier in 2016, Gladstone was awarded a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama category.
