Killer AX1650 PCIe card with Wi-Fi 6 support

With the Killer AX1650 module, Rivet Network has introduced a new PCI Express card for particularly fast wireless data transmission. The manufacturer states that the AX1650 should score above all through the integration of WiFi 6 and thus, at least in theory, a data throughput of up to 2.4 Gbit / s should be achieved. This is made possible by the support of 160 MHz channels.

As usual with the killer network adapters, this solution will also optimize the data stream. This should reduce latency compared to conventional WiFi chipsets and thus give gamers an advantage over other players, for example. To achieve this, the Intelligence Engine is installed, which ensures an automatic improvement of the data stream.

In addition, the so-called GameFast technology ensures that processes during data transfer are paused and that up to 10% more CPU and up to 20% more memory capacity should be available. Bluetooth 5.0 will also be on board to easily connect wireless devices to your own system.

Rivet Network sees its use primarily in desktop PCs that come with a poorly performing network card. Thanks to the connection via PCI-Express, there will always be enough power available for the transfer of data so that there is no bottleneck here.

The manufacturer has currently not given any information about the start date of the AX1650 module and no price has yet been named.
