A shooting occurred before a concert by the musical band ‘Picnik’ at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, on the outskirts of Moscow, a Sputnik correspondent reported. Several men dressed in camouflage broke into the building and opened fire with automatic weapons.
The motives and identity of the people who fired the shots are being clarified. According to different testimonies, the attackers used a grenade or Molotov cocktails, which led to a fire in the building. As a result of the fire, the roof began to collapse.
Ambulances, firefighters and other services are heading to the scene, local authorities reported. In the photos circulating on the networks you can see a column of smoke and fire above the building.
«At least five people. They acted as prepared and trained ‘militants’. When they entered the building, they killed the guards and the people who were at the doors. “Then they blocked the main entrance,” said a witness.
