Suara.com – Hendra Supena died after a knife he was carrying to threaten to be seized by his wife with the initials RK (35).
Kapolsek Mampang Prapatan, Kompol Sujarwo suspected that the trigger for the rioting that led to the murder began when the victim asked his wife for money.
In the aftermath of this, RK was annoyed because his condition had been unemployed for a long time after being fired from his company due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Initially the husband asked for money from his wife, his wife was angry, bickered, her husband beat her,” said Sujarwo as quoted by Antara, (18/8/2020)
The commotion in the household occurred on Sunday (16/8) at 09.00 WIB, at the rented road Bangka VIIIC, RT 013 / RW 12, Mampang Prapatan Urban Village, South Jakarta City.
At that time, victim Hendra Supena asked his wife for Rp. 30,000 which is usually used to buy cigarettes.
“Her husband is indeed unemployed, works odd jobs, often asks his wife for money,” said Sujarwo.
RK did not fulfill her husband’s wishes because he was no longer working as a waitress.
The mother of three has been unemployed for five months, while her husband, who is married to her, works odd jobs, sometimes being a parking attendant.
“This is the cage that is suspected of causing her economy to become unstable, she often gets angry with her husband,” said Sujarwo.
Because his request was not fulfilled, the perpetrator’s husband became angry and there was an affair. At the time of the fight, Hendra was carrying a kitchen knife.
The victim hit his wife first, then threatened the perpetrator using the knife he was carrying.
“We did beat her husband first, but a knife was already controlled by his wife. For further deepening, we have to do more to ascertain these motives,” said Sujarwo.
After the commotion occurred which ended with RK stabbing the husband with the knife that was held by her husband. RK confessed that the act was to defend himself because of the beating by her husband.
After being stabbed in the chest, Hendra chased after RK, who ran to the house of his in-laws (the victim’s mother). Because her husband chased her, RK ran to her mother’s house, which is about 200 meters from her rented place.
Meanwhile, the victim RK, after getting a stab wound in the chest, fainted at his house, then his parents, who did not know the victim suffered a stab wound, took him to the Puskesmas. However, the Puskesmas reported the incident to the Mampang Prapatan Police.
“The wound was small in the chest, but there was a blood clot because it was not immediately treated by the medical, as a result the victim died. And the results of the post mortem stated that the victim died from injuries,” said Sujarwo.
RK was arrested by Mampang Prapatan Police in less than 24 hours after the husband and wife quarrel, causing Hendra Supena, husband to die.
As a result of her seizure, RK was threatened with a maximum sentence of seven years in prison for torturing her husband to death as stipulated in Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.
