In the last week, one of the most talked about topics on television sets and on social media has been the conflict between Maite Galdeano and her daughter, Sofía Suescun, as well as the latter’s partner, Kiko Jiménez. Galdeano denounced on social media that her daughter had thrown her out of the house. The former contestant of Big Brother 16 assured that Sofía had made the decision “abducted by the person at her side.” For their part, her daughter and son-in-law assured that the woman should put herself in the hands of mental health experts quickly. In the midst of all this controversy, Sofía reappeared this Friday on ¡De viernes!, where she opened up about everything that happened with her mother.
The young woman from Navarra reappeared on the set of the Telecinco programme to explain the trigger for the conflict with her mother. Sofía explained that her mother’s behaviour, the pressure she was receiving from her and her snubs to Kiko, among other reasons, led her to ask him to leave home for a few days. In the middle of the interview, Galdeano or Jiménez were expected to speak out about the interview. And the first to break the silence was Sofía’s partner.
“I can only say that you have given a lesson in maturity, I am very proud of you. You are an example, a strong and fighting woman despite what you have had to live through,” said Jiménez through his official profile on social networks. Thus, the former contestant of Supervivientes showed his pride and the support he has been offering to his partner. In fact, it was Sofía herself who admitted during the interview that she would not know what would have happened without Kiko’s support at this time.
Maite’s silence regarding her daughter was surprising, as she has been commenting on each new chapter of her conflict in recent days. “I’m in shock. How evil! My daughter has lost her mind. This is brutal. […] “It’s an injustice what they’re doing to me without me having done anything wrong,” he said, after learning that Sofía was giving an interview to Beatriz Archidona and Santi Acosta’s programme.
After the interview, Galdeano did not refer to her daughter’s words, but instead attacked Kiko again. For Maite, Kiko is the one who influences Sofía’s decision-making, and to prove it she wanted to bring up a video from 2017 in which Sofía herself attacks him. “I prefer that he treated me like another bore and I didn’t have to give explanations about what I do or don’t do because a friend gave him a fit of jealousy,” said Sofía in the video, on Sálvame. “Jealous, possessive, interested… Sofía’s words to Kiko in 2017,” Maite said.
