Kiki Fatmala’s Story with Stage 4 Lung Cancer and Her Husband’s Anxiety

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Kiki Fatmala is one of the celebrities of the Indonesian entertainment world who also fought against cancer.

In December 2021, Kiki Fatmala was diagnosed by a doctor with stage 4 lung cancer.

Now, Kiki Fatmala has finished undergoing chemotherapy six times in Singapore and has returned to Jakarta.

Husband’s anxiety

Not only Kiki Fatmala, the husband of the film Hantu Jembatan Ancol, Christopher, was also surprised to learn that his wife was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Moreover, Christopher became increasingly anxious after receiving news that Kiki Fatmala’s lung cancer had reached stage four.

Kiki Fatmala said that she and Christopher admitted that they cried a lot, couldn’t sleep, and couldn’t eat for three days because they were so sad.

“Really, what we have been thinking about is, where are we going to bury him. He (Christopher) told us,” said Kiki Fatmala, quoted from Melaney Ricardo’s YouTube channel, Saturday (4/30/2022).

As a husband and consultant worker, Christopher also plans things ahead with the worst reality that will happen, such as Kiki Fatmala’s funeral to inheritance.

“So that’s it think about all the same to him. ‘What kind of inheritance do you want, who do you want to give it to, don’t you have children? What do you want to give to your sister? Where is the grave, order the coffin of all kinds think about‘,” said Kiki Fatmala.

Christopher admitted that at that time he was ready if Kiki was called by God.

Chemotherapy

Meanwhile, Kiki Fatmala was reluctant to undergo chemotherapy for fear of balding hair.

That way, Kiki Fatmala wants to undergo a targeted therapy method, taking medicine for life but there must be a genetic mutation in the body.

However, the results of the biopsy did not find any such genetics. As a result, Kiki Fatmala was given chemotherapy.

Before chemotherapy, Kiki had to undergo a radiation process five times which should be done alternately in a day. His first chemotherapy was administered in Singapore.

Kiki can even while eating during chemotherapy and online worship to distract her.

“No vomiting. The doctor asked several times, ‘Are you okay? Do you want to vomit or not?’, ‘No’. Sister came, ‘You okay?’,” said Kiki Fatmala.

“Oh, I’m really grateful that I don’t feel anything,” added Kiki Fatmala, who only experienced a little hair loss.

In addition to treatment, Christopher has his own way for Kiki Fatmala.
