Toyota Kijang Innova now comes in two models. If you want the old model, you can ask for the Kijang Innova Reborn. However, if you want the latest version with more sophisticated and eco-friendly features, the choice is the Kijang Innova Zenix.

If you look at sales data, even though old model Kijang Innova Reborn is the most popular. Especially the Kijang Innova Reborn diesel variant with automatic transmission.
Data from the Indonesian Automobile Industries Association (Gaikindo) noted that the Kijang Innova Reborn diesel automatic distribution in January-October 2024 reached 13,452 units. Compared to other models, the Innova Reborn diesel automatic is the best seller. The second best selling model is the Innova Zenix Q HEV CVT TSS Modellista which was distributed with 8,457 units throughout January-October 2024.
PT Toyota Astra Motor Marketing Director Anton Jimmi Suwandy once revealed that the high demand for the Innova Reborn diesel automatic was due to the car’s popularity in the region. The diesel engine option is only offered on the Innova Reborn, while all Innova Zenixs have petrol engines.
“So I think it’s because of diesel and local people like diesel manual and automatic,” Anton said in July 2024.
The diesel automatic Innova is currently the top variant in the Innova Reborn family. Especially for diesel engines, two transmission options are offered, namely manual and automatic. Meanwhile, the petrol Innova Reborn is only offered with a manual transmission option.
The Innova diesel automatic is equipped with an engine coded 2GD FTV with four cylinders in line 16 valves DOHC with VNT Intercooler. The Innova diesel engine has a capacity of 2,393 cc. The maximum power reaches 149 PS at 3,400 rpm with a maximum torque of 342.2 Nm available in the range 1,200-2,800 rpm. The Kijang Innova diesel comes with a choice of a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sport Sequential Switchcmatic, or a 5-speed manual transmission.

In terms of price, the Kijang Innova Reborn is offered starting from IDR 380 million. The following is the price list for the Kijang Innova Reborn.
