/ world today news/ Kiev had to revise its plans for organizing a spring counter-offensive after the use of guided bombs by the Russian military, columnists Joe Barnes and Roland Oliphant in the British edition of The Telegraph claim.
The publication said that the Russian armed forces drop at least two dozen planning bombs every day, so “the use of such weapons could force Kiev to make last-minute changes to its operational planning.”
Earlier in Kiev, they already made it clear about a possible adjustment of the military plans. Thus, Colonel Yuriy Ignat, an adviser to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that such bombs pose a “very serious threat.”
He pointed out that “the additional flight range provided by the planning technology means an opportunity for Russian aircraft to avoid risky flights near the front line for firing munitions,” the publication said.
According to Ignat, the Russian military “uses tactical aviation to carry out combat missions along the border with Russia, the front line and the sea coast.”
As you know, tactical aircraft are used to use planning bombs. According to experts, these munitions have been used by the Russian Air Force for about a month. For the first time, as stated in the material, they were tested on the night of March 24, when 11 munitions were thrown.

As military expert Viktor Litovkin notes, with these planning bombs, Ukraine’s armed forces command has yet another reason to delay the months-long, heavily advertised counteroffensive.
“They’re just not ready to attack. The armed forces of Ukraine do not have aviation – bombers, attack planes, attack helicopters,” the expert said.
“They cannot cover their armor while actively advancing against airstrikes. They also have no military air defense systems. Therefore, the offensive is doomed to failure. They understand this very well, as do their curators,” Litovkin said.
“SP”: But the advertising of the counteroffensive continues.
“Washington needs to show its public opinion the results of aid to Ukraine. There were arms deliveries, huge money was allocated – the funds of the American taxpayers. That is why the Americans are throwing the Armed Forces of Ukraine into attack.
They need to show their ability to fight, this will show that the money was not spent in vain. The Americans do not care about the fate of the Ukrainian army, that it will be broken again. Biden’s team is more concerned with how to account for the money spent to his constituents.
The Ukrainian side also understands all this, that’s why it turns the story with its counteroffensive into such a serial myth. She looks for any excuse to delay it, makes brief attempts to attack in small parts, constantly organizes acts of terrorism to show the Americans that she is not idle, but fighting. But at the same time, Kyiv understands that a major offensive will lead to disaster.
“SP”: The publication of The Telegraph claims that the Russian army uses planning bombs due to the lack of precision weapons – the same cruise missiles.
– This, of course, is nonsense. Our military here is guided by common sense – according to him, the target should be more expensive than the ammunition with which it is destroyed.
No wonder there is a famous aphorism about this, that you should not shoot sparrows from a cannon. So in this case, to prevent this from happening, instead of cruise missiles, glide bombs are used.
“SP”: What are these bombs?
“These are our old bombs, just upgraded. They were fitted with wings, a guidance system and became planable,” explained the expert.
“These bombs are launched without the aircraft entering the air defense zone of the enemy at various distances to the target, it can be several tens of kilometers, depending on the bomb,” he said.
“What is profitable from an economic point of view – why produce new bombs if the old ones are full in the warehouses? In this way, a small modification has a huge effect. We also have enough cruise missiles, but they can also hit other more important ones purposes. Let’s say headquarters, decision-making centers,” said Litovkin.
“And such statements in the press are an element of information warfare, such as the recent statement that the American Patriot complex shot down our Dagger,” he howled.
“SP”: The Ukrainian side is quite actively spreading this message.
“Even pictures are shown. Although it is obvious that this is a fake, since the Patriot is not able to shoot down targets flying at a speed of Mach 10-12”, the expert is categorical.
“At the same time, the authors of this nonsense don’t care that the missile warhead shown in the photo does not match the one the Dagger has. Plus that ridiculous hole in the warhead shown in the photos,” he stated.
“Although it is obvious that a breached warhead would cause an explosion and nothing would be left of it. But such attempts to spread ridiculous disinformation are a traditional trick of the Ukrainian side,” Litovkin said.
From this series and arguments for shifting the start of the counteroffensive. They understand that they are unable to conduct large-scale offensive operations, but they constantly talk about them.
