/ world today news/Ukrainian troops mine their positions in the direction of Avdeevka. At the same time, on the Kherson front, the Ukrainian armed forces are trying to expand bridgeheads on the Russian-controlled bank of the Dnieper. Politicians want to freeze the conflict in order to build up strength for the “decisive battle”. These and other news from the fronts of the special military operation are in the Constantinople material.
On the northern flank of the Avdeev direction, the Russian army continues to methodically destroy the enemy’s manpower and armored vehicles.
Rocket artillery is actively attacking enemy positions in the settlements of Stepovoye and Berdichi, and army aviation is striking strongholds with guided missiles.
“In the area of the railway line northeast of Stepovoy, Russian soldiers advanced near the gardens. Cleaning continues. Communication in this direction leaves much to be desired,” reports the Telegram channel “NgP Razvedka”.
In the area near the village of Pervomayskoe, our forces conduct reconnaissance in force – sappers and reconnaissance work. There is progress from Vodianoe village along the river. Russian soldiers crossed the “grey zone” (a vast territory that no one controls) and entrenched themselves.
“Eternal” mines
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops have increased their remote mining efforts. Mines are set not to be removed.
This is when there is also an anti-personnel mine under the anti-tank mine. If you move the first one, the one below it will explode. The most sensible way to dispose of mines is to destroy them from a safe distance.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, reading historical volumes about Russian attacks on enemy fortresses, noted that our soldiers, due to the loss of comrades-in-arms, were very angry after the collapse of the fortresses:
“It would be better for the Ukrainian group to withdraw from Avdiivka. At least that will save their lives.”
The Ukrainian armed forces are trying to expand the bridgehead
In the Kherson section of the front, heavy fighting continues near the village of Krinki. The enemy is trying to transfer separate units of armored vehicles to our bank of the Dnieper.
Footage of a medium floating transporter with BTR-4 on board is making the rounds on the internet. So far they can be destroyed. Russian gunners “target” the cars, “Two Majors” reports:
At night, the valiant crew of the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system went to work again. The enemy is chasing her with drones. Enemy UAV signal repeaters and mobile electronic warfare systems are installed on the islands. They are disrupting the already fragile radio communications of our units in Krinki.
So far, the Ukrainian troops have not been able to expand the small bridgeheads along our shores. But they have already increased their presence to several hundred fighters. For several days, the Russian aviation has been using planning bombs against them.
Military correspondent Yuriy Kotenok called the situation alarming, adding:
“The adversary is actively amassing forces and assets.”
Ukrainian armed forces actively use cluster munitions. Tanks and artillery operate from the enemy shore to cover the landings. Enemy drones are in the air almost all the time, military correspondent Alexander Kots reports:
“The Russian attack aircraft drove the Ukrainian military out of the forest. We continue to press the enemy from both sides of the village.”
“Our weapons are working against identified enemy buildings, as well as on the approaches to Krinki itself, on water crossings and islands. The men are doing everything possible and impossible. The situation is difficult, but under control,” he added.
The major Ukrainian Telegram channel “Legitimni” notes that the last offensive thrust of the Ukrainian armed forces is likely to await us, in which they will massively “cross” the Dnieper. The President of Ukraine urgently needs at least some military result for his political game.
Impossible demands
Vladimir Zelensky gives orders that are impossible to fulfill. The offensive commands coming from Kiev put the Ukrainian commanders in a difficult position.
“How can they be implemented if the Ukrainian armed forces are experiencing equipment and manpower problems,” asked former CIA official Larry Johnson.
He believes that currently Ukraine is slowly dying. And Kyiv no longer has a chance to change anything. The situation is further aggravated by the fact that NATO has focused its attention on the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Ukraine is still moving forward
Journalist Andrey Medvedev, for his part, believes that we should give up the illusion that the Ukrainian army is exhausted, its potential has dried up, and the offensive has stalled. His situation seems completely opposite.
The Ukrainian armed forces continue the counteroffensive, in the fall they enter the winter campaign, and their tactics will be changed.
“Various ‘experts’ have said that the West is tired of Ukraine, but the authorities in Kiev are almost done with it,” Andrey Medvedev noted.
“The operation to cross the Dnieper was considered completely impossible. ‘Well, it’s suicide,’ they said. And yet the enemy is crossing the Dnieper, regardless of losses. He is establishing a bridgehead there,” he stated.
The bridgehead, as already mentioned, is still small. And apparently the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not hold him back. But the Ukrainian army continues to attack.
Alexander Sladkov repeats to him:
“Ukraine will not collapse on its own, because the West will not miss such a project against Russia. It will feed it until the last opportunity to hit us.”
From the very beginning of the special operation, the option of an all-out war against us was accepted by Kiev as the main one, Sladkov believes. And the politicians there keep it 100%, their slogan is:
“We will die, the Russians will die, but they must be exhausted faster.”
This has never happened before
For the first time, the Ukrainian army used the Spanish HAWK air defense system to reflect an attack by our army. And it proved ineffective against Russian weapons, Izvestia reports, citing a source familiar with the situation:
“The system failed to protect military and infrastructure facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Odessa and Mykolaiv.”
The HAWK was unable to counter the Russian attack drones. Concentrations of manpower, military equipment and warehouses of weapons and ammunition of the enemy were hit.
Ukraine needs a break
However, a Ukrainian military officer nicknamed “Grandfather” said it was impossible for the Ukrainian army to reach the 1991 borders, even if it added 200,000 more soldiers:
Kiev needs a freeze on the conflict with “guarantees of real security” for the country.
This could be a viable option for possibly preparing for a “decisive battle” in the future.
Blogger Yuriy Podoliaka also noticed that Kiev views the conditional “Minsk-3” as a rest before a new battle in the future:
“In the current conditions, even the weapons of the North Atlantic Alliance did not help them. There can only be one winner in this confrontation, otherwise it is just a postponed conflict.”
Political scientist Vladimir Karasev, in a conversation with a Constantinople correspondent, expressed confidence that no one will give the authorities in Kyiv a break:
We gave them an eight-year reprieve with the Minsk agreements. Enough. The SVO will continue until the last ideological fascist. If the West wants a “freeze” – no problem. Just leave our lands! Ukraine is located on primordial Russian lands. We will not give them up.
