The Russian army has been tasked until the end of the year in Ukraine to reach the administrative border of the Donetsk region, said Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Ganna Malyara.

Russian troops have concentrated the largest number of soldiers, military equipment and weapons in Bakhmut’s direction, the deputy minister said during the marathon telecast.
“They have set themselves the task of reaching the border of the Donetsk region by the end of this calendar year,” Maļara said.
The invaders are unable to keep the front line busy, so they choose separate stations where to concentrate their maximum efforts, he explained.
“But you see how bravely Bakhmut resists, what losses our soldiers inflict on the enemy, and he simply cannot go forward. There was an insignificant advance, but the enemy was thrown back, and today the enemy is trying to besiege the city, and he won’t succeed either”, underlined the deputy minister.
As late as November, Ukraine’s Army Group Eastern described Bakhmut as the epicenter of the main battle for Ukraine.
