“The videos circulated in the media with the” confessions “of illegally detained citizens of Ukraine were obtained through the use of severe torture. This is an unsuccessful attempt by the occupational repressive bodies of the Russian Federation, aimed at concealing repressions against the Crimean Tatar population of Crimea,” the statement says.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also demanded the immediate release of illegally detained citizens of Ukraine and an end to torture and persecution of representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.
In addition, the ministry calls on the international community to assist in the release of all illegally detained citizens of Ukraine.
