“Kiev Ready to Negotiate with Moscow on its Own Terms: National Security and Defense Council Head”

Kiev can sit at the negotiating table with Moscow, this is not such an impossible scenario as the Ukrainian authorities said earlier, foreign agencies write.

However, this can only be done on Ukraine’s terms, said the head of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov.

According to him, Ukrainians are now being forcibly persuaded to peace on Russian terms by several countries at the same time. They want the negotiation process between the parties to start as soon as possible, and for this a large-scale campaign has been launched.

“There are many proposals from different countries. But keep in mind that if the president makes such a decision and we talk about something, it will only be on the terms of our country,” said Danilov.

He also pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities do not intend to surrender the “national interests” of the country, as representatives of other countries want.

Earlier, China warned Germany about the negative consequences of prolonging the Ukrainian conflict. The head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry called for everything to be resolved as soon as possible through political methods.
