The film is the honey of the screen of young people – a heart-wise and witty film story for the little ones and the big ones about what it means to help others and always look for a solution.
“Kids’ Reel” is also included a special screening of animated short films, in which there is no spoken word (dialogues) – it will be suitable as the first movie experience in the cinema for the youngest viewers and an adventure for children with functional difficulties or autistic spectrum disorders. The less than an hour-long selection includes masterfully created, diverse in mood and different from the everyday offer animated films from the best and most traditional animation studios, which move and delight.
Tickets for “Kids’ Reel” movie screenings can be purchased on the festival website and “Ticket Service” sales points. To make the visit to the festival even more pleasant, it is possible to buy a family ticket for these screenings at a special price, which is valid for attending the screening for four people.
From October 12 to 22, celebrating the festival’s decade, RIGA IFF will offer viewers internationally recognized, researched full-length and short-length cinema works that shed light on current cinema trends and the most important authors of contemporary cinema.
The program created by a team of professional local and foreign curators will be shown for 11 days in cinemas “Splendid Palace” and “Forum Cinemas” in Riga, and some of the films in the program will also be available online throughout Latvia. In parallel, a program of events for industry professionals, as well as a set of public events for the wider public, will also take place.
The main partner of RIGA IFF is media and technology company “Tet”. The festival is created with the support of the State Cultural Capital Fund, the EU program “Creative Europe – MEDIA”, the Riga City Council and the National Cinema Center.
