Authorities are still in the dark about the motive behind the crime. Were the dogs kidnapped because they belong to Lady Gaga, or simply because they are very expensive French Bulldogs? There is not yet an answer to that question. But sources tell TMZ that the crime would be part of an initiation for gang members to prove they are eligible to be part of the gang. In Los Angeles, more similar events have been taking place recently. The fact that the two perpetrators shot dog walker Ryan Fischer nevertheless seems to support the theory. Fischer was a bit further away, the perpetrators could have taken the dogs with them without any problems.

Two of the three dogs were kidnapped in the incident, but a woman took them to the police station a few days later. The woman had found the dogs tied to a stake.
