Kidnapped by Russia Since March 24, Ukrainian Mayor-Family Found Dead

Ukrainian authorities have found the bodies of five civilians with their hands tied in a village west of Kiev, the capital Ukraine. Among them included the bodies of the mayor, husband and son.

Reported from the news agency AFPTuesday (5/4/2022), police Ukraine showing four bodies to reporters AFPincluding the body of the mayor, half-buried in a cemetery in the pine forest adjacent to his home in Motyzhyn.

The fifth body was found in a small well in the garden.

The dead, including two men who were not part of the mayor’s family, were found with their hands tied behind their backs.

Police said that the mayor, 50-year-old Olga Sukhenko, her husband and their son, were kidnapped by troops Russia on March 24 last.

Residents said the female mayor and her husband had refused to cooperate with the Russian invading forces.
