The game of the 32nd matchday of the Regionalliga Südwest between Kickers Offenbach and TSG Balingen will be postponed.

+++ Update, 5 p.m: The game Kickers Offenbach against TSG Balingen does not take place according to plan. The game commission of the Regionalliga Südwest GbR approved an application by the OFC to cancel the game in question. The basis for the decision is exclusively the order of the Offenbach City Health Office, according to which the entire OFC squad is prohibited from entering the stadium from April 6th, 2022 to April 8th, 2022. The game is scheduled to be rescheduled on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 7 p.m.

First report from Tuesday, April 5th, 2022: Offenbach – The 32nd matchday is coming up in the Southwest Regional League and Kickers Offenbach welcomes TSG Balingen to their home stadium on the Bieberer Berg. The match kicks off on Wednesday (6 April 2022) at 7 p.m.

Kickers Offenbach has applied for the game against TSG Balingen to be relocated, as announced by Jonas Ochs, who is responsible for game operations in the league. The Regionalliga Südwest GbR is in exchange with the OFC: “We want to know how many players are not available after the free test due to Covid.”

OFC still in the promotion race

In the table of the Regionalliga Südwest, Kickers Offenbach is in third place with 57 points, four points behind SSV Ulm and one behind SV Elversberg. However, Ulm has already played one more game. Behind the OFC, TSV Steinbach Haiger (56 points) and FSV Mainz 05 II (56 points) also have chances of promotion.

On the last match day, the OFC game at Bahlinger SC was canceled due to the weather, as was the game of the upcoming opponent against SV Elversberg. TSG Balingen ranks ninth in the Regionalliga Südwest and is therefore firmly in the middle. But they still need a few points to ensure they stay up in the league.

OFC dominates the first leg against TSG Balingen

The first leg between TSG Balingen and Kickers Offenbach was clear. In a very one-sided game, it was 6:1 from the OFC’s point of view, which celebrated the highest victory of the current season. Scorers for coach Sreto Ristic’s side were Elia Soriano, Florent Bojaj (2), Tunay Deniz, Rafael Garcia and Lucas Hermes.

It is unclear which players are available to OFC for the game against TSG Balingen, as the club did not name the players affected by the corona virus. A decision by the Regionalliga Südwest GbR as to whether the game between Kickers Offenbach and Balingen will take place as planned or will have to be postponed can be expected in the near future.
