Kick-off of the first edition of ICT Job Fair

Aware of the importance of professional integration, Huawei ICT Academy launched the first edition of the Job Fair both face-to-face, in Casablanca, and online. It is now a recruitment and career development event for graduates and future graduates looking for employment opportunities in the fields of new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI).

Promote skills
This first Job Fair presents some 135 internship and job offers, of which the first 200 applicants will benefit from support throughout the process. Targeted training and coaching programs will also be devoted to them, in various themes, in particular in Personal Branding, soft-skills, preparation for a job interview, etc. During the opening ceremony, the vice-president of Huawei Northen Africa, Richard Cao, recalled the importance of new technologies which, worldwide, are undergoing strong changes, to then focus on the commitment and efforts undertaken by Huawei ICT Academy Morocco in order to support the country in its technological evolution. For her part, Mariam Ameziane El Hassani, education account director Huawei Morocco, indicated that “this Job Fair consolidates a number of projects initiated by the group to promote Moroccan skills in technological and digital matters, allowing young people to explore new career opportunities ”.

More specialty in the field of ICT
In a statement to the press, Nicolas Yuanyu, corporate business group Huawei director, noted that “young people are the hope of tomorrow, we are obliged to support and guide them to become attractive profiles for companies” , adding that “our objective is to shorten the bridges between supply and demand in the field of ICT (information and communication technologies)”.

He also said he was proud to see the result of the group’s commitment and happy to see the enthusiasm of young people for these high-precision technology jobs. Mohamed Khalfaoui, Secretary General of the Department of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for his part, mentioned that “the current technological revolution requires the training of profiles adapted to the specific needs of the labor market”.

In addition, he took the opportunity to greet “the Ministry of National Education to prepare students for this world and to provide them with the necessary tools to meet the challenges of these new professions”.

Following the successful launch of the latest models of its successful series in the Kingdom, Huawei Morocco has launched two new stores in Casablanca to explore any technological innovation of the brand. Thus, the Chinese giant has introduced its innovative “Intelligent Life” program with the establishment of Huawei Experience Store (HES) at the Morocco Mall and Huawei Experience Store-R (HES-R) on boulevard Zerktouni. The latter consolidate Huawei’s position as a symbol of affordable innovation in the Kingdom, offering better choice and a more complete experience to local consumers, it said in a statement.
