Kicillof announced that the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be free for people over 18 years of age

The Governor of the Province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicilloreported that as of this Wednesday, February 23, the Coronavirus vaccine will be free for people over 18 years old.

Within the framework of an act that he led in window sawthe governor announced that starting this Wednesday, access to the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be “free, universal and federal” for those over 18 years of age.

“Today we have come to announce that starting tomorrow there will be a third free dose for everyone over 18 years of age in the entire province of Buenos Aires,” the governor announced, adding: “We have difficulties, there are still many needs. There are those who during working hours, when their turn comes, cannot go. That is why we have installed the free vaccine program. It makes it possible for those who are fit to give the doses without a shift”.

In this way, the third dose becomes free for those over 18 years of age, health, education and security workers, pregnant women, people who breastfeed and immunosuppressed.

In addition, Kicillof ratified “The Night of the Vaccines II” which will take place on Friday, February 25 after the first edition that allowed 26 thousand people from Buenos Aires to be immunized.

The president highlighted the “very important advances” related to the immunization campaign in a province “with its extension, the volume of population, an area that could practically be a country and 17 million inhabitants.”

For his part, the Minister of Health of the Province, Nicolás Kreplak, explained that 15,747,875 people received the first dose (93.3% of Buenos Aires residents), 13,965,332 the second (82.8%) and 6,390,376 the third (37.8%).

In addition to Kicillof and Kreplak, the mayor of Tornquist also participated in the meeting, Sergio Bordonithe Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation, Augusto Costa; and the Minister of Government, Cristina Alvarez Rodriguez.
