Major General (res.) Itamar Tal, 32 years old, from Kibbutz Masilat, a fighter in Battalion 6261, Brigade 261, was killed yesterday (22/1/24) in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
“Itamar was a smiling and pleasant man, loved life and family, loved spending time with friends and vacations abroad, good food, sports and his five nephews to whom he was very attached. “Dear Itamar worked at Calroti as a programmer,” said the Emek Ma’ayan regional council.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 1/24/24, he will be laid to rest in the cemetery in Kibbutz Masilat at 2:00 p.m. The family will sit for seven at the family home in Kibbutz Masilat in Emek Ma’ainat. The family wishes to mourn his passing without a media presence.
The family’s comment: “The family is shocked and saddened by Itamar’s passing and thanks from the bottom of its heart for the great concern of the envelopers.”
Community manager Tom Albo: “Kibbutz Mesilat mourns the passing of Itamar Tal, the son of the kibbutz and the son of kibbutz members Zamera and Ariel Tal. We wrap the parents Zamera and Ariel and the brothers Uria, Avidan and Oren upon learning of the bitter news. May he rest in Eden.”
The members of Itamar’s group at the kibbutz: “Itamar was a friend, a dear brother. He had a captivating smile and a wide and pure heart. He always knew how to say the right thing, make peace and give everyone the feeling and confidence that everything will be fine.”
