Kia Sportage updated before generation change: now richer, there is a top version with its own design

SUV Kia brought to 2021 model year at home. The update boiled down to shaking up the complete sets, in addition, following other SUVs of the Sportage brand, it acquired an expensive version of the Gravity on the home market.

The current generation Kia Sportage crossover – with the factory index QL – has been in service since 2015, it has undergone restyling three years ago… That is, it’s time to enter the next generation SUV scene, and the company is working on such a model – test prototypes have already come across to photo spies. However, the new Sportage, according to preliminary data, will debut only in 2021, but for now Kia has decided to refresh the current SUV. True, we are talking only about Korea, where Sportage went into negative territory: in January-August 2020, 12,412 cars were sold there, which is 36% less compared to the same period last year.

Perhaps the main new thing in the homeland is the top performance Gravity (“gravity” from English). Recall that expensive versions with this name are already available in Korea for the Seltos junior SUV and the Mohave frame SUV. Like the rest of the “gravity” models, the special Sportage received a radiator grille with a different pattern, in addition it is made in black gloss. The bumper and side trims, tailgate badges and 19-inch wheels were made black. The edging of the glasses also darkened. But in the salon without reforms, unlike Seltos Gravity and Mohave Gravity, which have other finishing materials inside.
