When it comes to reliability, Toyota and Honda vehicles are the gold standard. In the compact SUV category, the RAV4 and CR-V have always been considered the undisputed leaders, however, according to the latest study by the American agency JD Power, in 2023 they were surpassed by one of the popular Korean SUVs.
According to overseas experts, if a person is looking for a reliable compact crossover, then the best choice would be not Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V, but Kia Sportage.
According to the results of the analysis carried out by the specialists of JD Power, it was the Sportage that scored the highest number of points in a survey of owners of cars from this class at the end of last year. They were asked to talk about the most problematic areas in their cars, from the engine and transmission to the unpleasant moments regarding the interior.
As a result, it turned out that the owners of the Kia Sportage had the least problems. Toyota RAV4 took the second place in this indicator, and Honda CR-V closed the top three.
Recall that the Kia Sportage crossover survived the generation change in 2021, and at the beginning of 2022 was supposed to reach Russia. It was assumed that the Avtotor plant would be engaged in its release, but the Korean automaker broke off relations with the Kaliningrad enterprise.
Now Kia Sportage is imported to us from other countries under the parallel import system, but such crossovers are not cheap – from 2 million 700 thousand rubles.
