The mid-life rejuvenation comes exactly one year after Kia updated its siblings, the Ceed hatchback and the Proceed and Ceed SW station wagons. At the same time, it is three years after the debut of the XCeed as an all-new crossover.

The facelift will include slight exterior visual changes and interior updates. For the first time, Kia will offer the sporty GT Line equipment for the XCeed. It is shown in officially released sketches with a new front bumper, a different grille, a new logo and LED headlight graphics.

The profile is enhanced by large-diameter alloy wheels similar to the other GT Line models, although they are of course in larger form on the sketches than they will be in reality.

At the rear, changes are limited to new LED graphics on the taillights, a new logo, different chrome surrounds on the faux tailpipes and a body-colored cover plate that looks like a diffuser. However, visual changes to the entry-level trims are likely to be more limited than the GT Line pictured.

Kia didn’t reveal the interior, but we expect the XCeed to share updates with the rest of the Ceed family. Which likely means it will get an updated 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the latest software update in the 10.25-inch infotainment along with improved driving aids.

Mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines will be used for propulsion. However, we will probably find out the exact range of engines only on July 18, when the official premiere will take place.
