In September, the South Korean company KIA announced that by 2027 will present seven new electric cars at once. The company even showed the silhouettes of these cars, but all other details are still kept secret.
Now how writes The Korean Car Blog, KIA has registered names for five of these vehicles. And they are all very boring: IK4, EV3, EV6, EV2 and EV4. However, the company has preferred simplicity in naming for several years already – for example, in Russia, to replace the popular Optima model came sedan K5, and the same KIA Rio in some countries is sold under the name KIA K2.
Together with the names, the company also patented their graphic writing. The letters are made in the corporate font of the Korean automaker.

It is expected that in early 2021 KIA will replace your corporate logo. This will happen as part of a global plan called Plan S, which involves switching the brand to electric and hybrid models.
As Autonews.ru wrote, the brand’s new logo consists of connected letters that can be made in black or white. It is unclear whether the new badge will be used on all models, or whether it was created specifically for hybrid and all-electric vehicles.
Today KIA already sells some of its cars with separate logos. For example, in South Korea, a sports liftback Stinger are sold with the E badge, and a separate unique logo has been created for the new generation Mohave flagship SUV.
From next year, the Hyundai KIA concern will produce cars on the new Electric-Global (E-GMP) platform. Hyundai for such cars even singled out a separate brand Ioniq, under which all electric cars of this brand will now be released. In the coming years the company plans to release three “green” cars at once, and their names are also straightforward – Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 7. Crossovers will go on sale under odd indexes, sedans under even ones.
