During the EV Day event, Kia presented an electric crossover and sedan called EV3 and EV4. For now, the new products have the status of concepts, but in the future they should receive serial implementations, which will become the most affordable electric cars of the Korean brand.
The price for commercial models will be about $35 thousand (approximately 3.5 million rubles). The start of sales of these cars is scheduled for 2024.
The angular design of the EV3 compact crossover is reminiscent of the older EV9 model. The car was equipped with thin diode optics of complex shape, an embossed hood, a spoiler and unusual rims.
The design of the EV4 sedan is made in a similar style. As Carscoops notes, this model will go into mass production with minimal changes in appearance.
The interior of both cars was finished with environmentally friendly materials. Electric cars received a three-spoke steering wheel and a minimum number of physical buttons. The main functions of the machine are controlled using touch screens.
All technical characteristics of new products are kept secret. The EV9 model was created on a scalable E-GMP platform designed specifically for cars with all-electric powertrains. This chassis provides modifications with both one engine and two power units. Cruising range – 480 km.
