The Korean car manufacturer KIA has announced the prices of its electric flagship EV9 in Europe, and we must admit that they are higher than expected – if we can believe the information on the KIA Belgium website, then the starting price of the car will be 61,975 euros before taxes. The car will be equipped with a large 99.8kWh battery, which will apparently be the only option available in Europe for the time being. When the car was officially announced, KIA also announced a smaller 76.1kWh battery, which would also mean a lower price.
Deliveries of this model have already begun in KIA’s home country of South Korea, but deliveries to Europe are planned to begin at the end of this year or early next year.

As for prices in Belgium, the better equipped GT Line EV9 will already cost 8,900 euros more, with the price already exceeding 70,000 euros. In the Standard Range version, the car is equipped with a 76.1kWh battery and one electric motor on the rear axle, which develops 215 horsepower. In the Long Range version, the large 99.8kWh battery is combined with a 150-horsepower electric motor, which allows you to travel 541 kilometers on a single charge in the WLTP cycle. An all-wheel drive version is also available, which develops 380Zs and 600Nm.
