Kia Carens Sells Hard, Orders More than 7,000 Units a Day

The latest Kia Carens which was just launched some time ago turned out to be in great demand by Indian consumers. The proof is, on the first day the MPV was sold, the number of orders set a fantastic record, with a number of SPK (Vehicle Order Letters) of more than 7,000 units.

Thus, the Kia Carens has broken a new company record as the most ordered car on the first day of sales. The record was previously held by the Kia Sonet, which ordered more than 6,500 units on the first day, and the Kia Seltos, which ordered 6,000 units on the first day.

“We are delighted with the overwhelming response Carens has received from customers, within the first 24 hours of the start of pre-orders. This is the highest first day order we have received for any of our products in India,” said Kia India Managing Director and CEO Tae- Jin Park.

For information, the Kia Carens is offered in five trims which include Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. The first four variants have a seven-seat configuration, while the top variant Luxury Plus comes with an optional six-seat layout.

Park added that the Carens will be offered with a choice of multiple engine and transmission options, plus a standard safety package and many first-class features.

Some of the features that will be present at Carens are a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4.2-inch TFT driver screen, eight-speaker Bose audio system, air purifier, ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, and wireless charging with cooling function.

In addition, it will also be equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity technology, Bose audio, a single-panel sunroof, and an electric one-touch tumble for the second row.

From the safety aspect, Carens will be equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, all-four disc brakes, hill hold/descent control, and tire pressure monitoring.

And for the powertrain option, it will be available with three engine options, including 1.5 petrol, 1.4 petrol and 1.5 diesel engines. Meanwhile, the power and transmission options are 115 PS and 144 Nm with a 6-speed manual, 140 PS and 242 Nm with a 6-speed manual / 7-speed DCT, and 115 PS and 250 Nm with a 6-speed manual and automatic (AT). .
