In addition to the announcement of the Kia EV9 electric crossover, today the Korean company made another important statement related to cars with internal combustion engines and, in particular, their sales in Europe.
The news that Kia is another carmaker that is giving up petrol and diesel engines is hardly a surprise to anyone, after Hyundai said something similar in early September. The company announced that it will focus on converting its plants into the most environmentally friendly facilities, and in 2045 the brand hopes to reach zero emissions.
With regard to cars with internal combustion engines, the Korean company sets a deadline of 2035, when the latest models with gasoline or diesel engines will be sold and 2040 for other important markets, without mentioning which they are.
