Khofifah Sanctioned the Regent of Jember for Not Receiving Salary, Allowances, and Honor for 6 Months

JEMBER, KOMPAS.com – The Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa gave administrative sanctions to Regent of Jember Faida in the form of not being paid any financial rights for six months.

Khofifah’s decision was contained in letter number 700/1713/060/2020 concerning the imposition of administrative sanctions on the Regent of Jember.

The decision was signed by Khofifah on September 2, 2020 in Surabaya.

Khofifah argued that the sanctions were imposed because Faida was late in processing the formation of the Jember Regency Raperda on the Jember APBD for the 2020 budget year.

“The financial rights include basic salary, job allowance and other benefits,” Khofifah said in the letter.

Other rights not granted, namely honorarium, operational support costs, and other financial rights in accordance with statutory regulations.

The decision on the sanction has been in effect since the stipulation.

“We received the governor’s decree regarding administrative sanctions on the regent of Jember, “Said Chairman of the Jember DPRD Itqon Syauqi during a press conference in the Banmus room of the Jember DPRD on Tuesday (8/9/2020).

Itqon said the letter was also sent to the Minister of Home Affairs, the chairman of the Jember DPRD, the head of the East Java BPK representative, the East Java Provincial Government Inspector, the East Java Provincial BPKA Head, and the Jember BPKAD Head.
