Term of office of Governor of East Java (Jatim) Khofifah Indar Parawansa ends soon. East Java Provincial Secretary Adhy Karyono will become the daily acting (Plh) Governor of East Java replacing Khofifah.
Reported detikJatim, Monday (12/2/2024), Khofifah’s term of office will end at 23.59 WIB. Khofifah said the Regional Secretary was appointed as Plh because his position ended just before the election.
“From the Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, because it ends tomorrow, the day after tomorrow the voting will start, so (Adhy Karyono) will decide on Plh,” said Khofifah at the Grahadi State Building.
Khofifah said that the Acting Governor of East Java would be appointed by the President next Friday. He said Adhy would become Acting Governor of East Java.
“God willing, the Pj will be on Friday. The Pj’s inauguration will be Friday and today the Plh’s decision will be issued. I haven’t received the physical letter even though it has been delivered, so just wait for the letter,” said Khofifah.
“So Plh first but Plh with Pj, God willing, it’s the same person,” he added.
