Khloé Kardashian’s reconciliation with boyfriend Tristan Thompson took a serious turn over the holiday season – they went from boyfriend and girlfriend to official ring promise. Kardashian was given a huge pear-shaped diamond ring when she visited Thompson, just before her family had their glamorous Christmas Eve party at home, without any guests. “Tristan surprised Khloé with a huge diamond,” a source told Life &; Style. “It’s more of a promise ring than anything, and she absolutely adores it!” He gave it to her when she was in Boston just before Christmas ”.
It’s a big step for Thompson, who doesn’t have the best Kardashian track record. He cheated on her while she was pregnant with their 2-year-old daughter True, and he dated Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner’s former best friend, on their first reconciliation. This mess seemed to doom the relationship for good at the time, but it seems quarantine together during the pandemic has changed Kardashian’s perspective.
“Tristan is doing everything he can to make up for it with Khloé after the cheating scandal and prove his commitment,” the insider explained. “He feels ready to marry her, but she has to trust him completely first – and it will take more than a million dollar ring, but they are making progress and things are going well between them.”
This time, Thompson has to do it right, especially now that he’s playing for a sports team on the opposite coast. He doesn’t have time for fun if he wants to work things out with the Good American co-founder and their daughter. For now, the basketball player is holding his end of the bargain and has enjoyed time spent with his family. The source promises: “Tristan really misses Khloé and True since the move.”
Kardashian also appears to put Thompson’s cheating scandals behind her as she even shed light on all of her issues in a fall episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. If she can joke about a pretty painful time in her personal life with him, then they’re probably on the road to a commitment in the future.
