The authorities of Kharkiv region announced the beginning of the mandatory evacuation of 37 settlements in the Kupyan region due to constant shelling, reports the BBC’s Russian service.

Residents of settlements located near the combat zone will have to evacuate, especially children.

In particular, we are talking about settlements in the Dvurechanska, Petropavlovsk, Kondrashevska, Kurilovska rural communities and the Kupyan urban territorial community. No forced evacuation from the city of Kupyansk has been reported.

We remind you that this night the city of Kupyansk was subjected to intense Russian shelling, hitting the city council building and residential buildings, during which two people were injured.

“The enemy’s goal is to break through the defense of our troops and move directly to Kupyansk,” Ukrainskaya Pravda quoted the commander as saying.
