Kharkiv Mayor Declares City’s Situation “More or Less Calm” amidst Russian Shelling

Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov on the air of the national telethon appreciated the situation in the city as “more or less calm”.

Doctors are working to help them,” Terekhov said.

He also spoke about the situation with electricity. July 6 at Ukrenergo reportedthat the day before, due to the heat and the use of air conditioners, electricity consumption increased sharply. Ukrainians were urged to save light from 16:00 to 23:00 – transfer the use of powerful equipment to other hours or at night and not turn on several powerful devices at the same time.

“The situation is stable. Electricity is available throughout the city. Electric transport works, there are no shutdowns of either residential buildings, or Kharkov industry, or utilities. Therefore, the situation is under control. I communicate with employees of Kharkovoblenergo,” the mayor added.
