Khamenei: ‘On October 7 legitimate, we will destroy Israel’. Trump: Jewish State Should Strike Iran’s Nuclear Sites – News

Israel should strike Iran’s nuclear sites. Donald Trump said this at a rally in North Carolina.

The supreme leader of the Islamic Republic decides not to hide. In the most difficult time for Iran, in control of the severe blows that Israel has inflicted on Hamas and Hezbollah, and with the prospect of soon suffering a direct and widespread attack, Ali Khamenei once again publicly revealed his ‘ lead Friday prayers for the first time in four years.

October 7 was marked by bloodshed by Palestinian militias and Iranian missiles launched against the Jewish State in their “legitimate” actions, and the resistance axis will continue to “fight for victory” despite the death of its leaders : these are the messages that the ayatollah sent to enemies and allies, in front of the thousands of faithful gathered in Tehran, also in memory of the killing of Hassan Nasrallah. A sermon in which everything was important, from the words to the imagery. As shown by the rifle that was placed on the stage, for the benefit of cameras from all over the world.

A week after the death of the Hezbollah leader – who appears to have been temporarily buried in a secret location – Khamenei relaxed strict security measures for a few hours. He has not led prayers since General Soleimani was killed at the hands of America in 2020.

At the great mosque in Tehran he praised Nasrallah, a symbol of the “martyrs” who fell in the war against Israel, together with Ismail Haniyeh and the many military leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah. A war that, in Iran’s mantra, is waged for defensive reasons to respond to Israel’s “extraordinary crimes”. So even last Tuesday’s large-scale operation, with two hundred missiles launched into enemy territory, was “completely legal”, in fact it was “a small punishment”. In the sermon, in Persian and Arabic, an appeal was then launched to all Muslim countries, “from Afghanistan to Yemen, from Gaza to Lebanon”, to “girdle a protective belt” against the “common enemy”.

Khamenei’s statement appeared to be a show of strength by the regime, almost as if to quell the serious threat at the gates. A growing concern is the shape of an Israeli attack on Iran’s energy and oil infrastructure, which would devastate an already struggling economy. Blitz which Israel is debating with the United States, and which could start at any time. It is a situation of understandable concern in Tehran, so much so that the Pasdaran have tried to provoke the enemy by threatening to respond by targeting Israeli refineries and gas fields.

At the same time, Iran continues to weave its diplomatic web to cool the temperature in the region. So Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi flew to Beirut under the bombs to meet his Lebanese counterpart, arguing the need for a simultaneous ceasefire with Israel in Gaza and Lebanon. The IDF, however, continued to strike in the north. The southern suburbs of Beirut, a stronghold of the Party of God, were targeted by night raids. The main target, according to what was filtered from Jerusalem, was Hashem Safieddine, Nasrallah’s possible successor. Israel thinks he is dead. Regarding the war on the border, the evacuation order for Lebanese civilians was extended to 35 towns. But losses are still counted even among the soldiers of the Tsahal: in the Golan, two soldiers were killed by a drone launched from Iraq, where pro-Iranian Shiite militias are active.

And people are still fighting and dying in the Palestinian territories. An Israeli attack in Tulkarem, West Bank, left at least 18 dead. At least 9 victims, according to the IDF, were Hamas militiamen, including the local leader, Abd al-Razeq Oufi. He was accused of planning an attack in the near future, due to the reminders for 7 October.

Then there is the Houthi front which, armed with Tehran, attacks Western merchant ships in the Red Sea in retaliation for Gaza. The Yemeni militias were hit again by British and American raids, which changed their strategy this time: until now they had targeted the coastal infrastructure, but now they attacked deeper. Among the new targets, also the capital Sanaa.

IDF, raid on Hamas command center in a school in Gaza

The Israeli army announced that it had recently hit in an airstrike “terrorists operating inside a command and control center in the Gaza Strip” located “in a building that was formerly a school, the ‘Ahmad al-Kurd’, in central Gaza.” The IDF assures that it had adopted “before the attack a number of measures to reduce the risk of harm to civilians” and accuses Hamas of “systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure”.

US: ‘No commitment from Israel on Iran’s nuclear facilities’

Israel has given no assurances to the Biden administration that targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities is out of the question. CNN reports this, citing an administration official, according to which it is “very difficult to say” whether Israel will use the anniversary of the October 7 attack to retaliate.
