Khabib’s prayer after Israel Adesanya lost by TKO at UFC 281

Jakarta, CNNI Indonesia

Former UFC Lightweight World Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov pray Israel Adesanya which he lost by TKO to Alex Pereira at UFC 281.

Adesanya failed to defend his UFC middleweight belt for the seventh time after being knocked down by Pereira in the fifth round at UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden, New York on Sunday (11/13) WIB afternoon.

Following Adesanya’s defeat, Khabib spoke out via Twitter social media uploads. The fighter nicknamed L’Aquila feels that Adesanya is not getting the respect he deserves.

“I didn’t miss meeting Adesanya and I really feel he doesn’t get the credit he deserves,” said Khabib.

Khabib Nurmagomedov also prayed that the New Zealand fighter with Nigerian blood could win the UFC middleweight championship belt again.

Not only that, Khabib also hopes Israel Adesanya can match the record of Jon Jones, who has defended the UFC light heavyweight champion belt 13 times in a row.

“If he defends the title a few more times, he will be on the same level as Jon Jones.

Good luck Adesanya,” Khabib said.

The loss to Alex Pereira was Israel Adesanya’s first loss at the UFC Middleweight since February 2018.

The 33-year-old fighter won the middleweight title in April 2019 after defeating Kelvin Gastelum. Since that duel, Adesanya has won in six title fights.
