Khabib Nurmagomedov and Cristiano Ronaldo are friends. Both exchange information regularly.
Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (32) has revealed that he is in “almost daily” contact with Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo (36). The conversations often revolved around private matters.
“Ronaldo wants his son to be his successor,” Nurmagomedov told Russian YouTuber KraSava. The Portuguese would, however, be concerned that his son would not “feel the same hunger, the same will” as himself.
Khabib Nurmagomedov: Cristiano Ronaldo will play “another two or three” years
At their first meeting, they discussed where they got the motivation to make it to the top in their respective sports. Khabib continued: “When Ronaldo was a kid, his biggest dream was a simple pair of football boots. But his son has it all. And when you have everything, it is very difficult to find the right motivation.”
Ronaldo himself had already stated several times that he would like to see his son as his successor. “I’m not going to put pressure on him to be a footballer. But if you ask me if I want to, then of course I want to. I want him to be the best whether he becomes a footballer or a doctor,” he said weeks ago the Portuguese newspaper The ball.
Later, however, CR7 also revealed that “he was sometimes hard on him” because “he would drink Coke and Fanta”. “I’m angry and argue with him when he eats chips, fries and all that stuff. He knows that I don’t like that. Even my little children, when they eat chocolate, they look at me like that,” said the 36 -Year-olds. Still, there was praise to his son: “But to be honest, he has potential, he’s big, fast, dribbles well, but that’s nothing. I always tell him that. It takes a lot of hard work.”
Khabib, who announced his resignation in October, kept the door open for another fight. With Ronaldo, the end of his career is likely to wait a little longer, he suspects: He could “play two or three more seasons”.
