72 companies receive extraordinary support
Member of the Bundestag Ulrich Lange was informed about the loan commitments in the district of Dillingen from the KfW Reconstruction Loan Corporation. As a result, 72 companies from the district used the KfW Corona aid by September 30. According to the press release, the loan volume comprises 16.4 million euros. In particular, it concerns the KfW entrepreneur loan for SMEs (15.3 million euros). “This existing federal aid in the fight against the consequences of the pandemic has meanwhile been extended, the conditions for this have been relaxed and the conditions further improved in order to help as many companies as possible quickly and effectively,” explains Lange.
Because of the restrictions during the corona pandemic, numerous companies are dependent on short-term emergency aid and aid loans. Nationwide, around 90,000 loan applications for KfW Corona aid had been received by the end of the third quarter of 2020. 45.4 billion euros have been pledged. 97 percent of the applications came from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), 99 percent of which were loans with a volume of up to three million euros. Access to KfW-Corona-Hilfe is usually via the onward banks and savings banks. In addition, another aid instrument was recently set up for the industries affected by the Corona restrictions in November: the federal government’s “Extraordinary Economic Aid” with a financial volume of ten billion euros. “We have to do everything we can to maintain the substance of our economy and our culture of life so that we can get started again after the crisis,” emphasizes Lange.
