After two years is for Jan Kirchhoff end in summer. The 30-year-old’s contract ends with KFC Uerdingen and he will neither renew in Krefeld nor hire another club. Kirchhoff takes a different, new path.
As the “kicker” reports, the defender changes KFC in the youth performance center of the Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. Here will Kirchhoff work with the Swabian U15 team. He becomes assistant coach of Mischa Leibfarthwho is currently training the U13 of VfB and will be responsible for the U15 with Kirchhoff from July 1st.
Kirchhoff moved from 1. FC Magdeburg to KFC Uerdingen in the summer of 2019. The native of Frankfurt played a total of 23 competitive games for Krefeld. In the current chaos season of the KFC Kirchhoff came only one use. He is currently suffering from a torn muscle bundle.

Kirchhoff also played for Schalke and FC Bayern
Kirchhoff played in youth for SpVgg Kickers 1916 Frankfurt (-1999), Eintracht Frankfurt (1999-2007) and 1.FSV Mainz 05 (2007-2009).
In 2009 he received a professional contract in Mainz and played 64 games for Rheinhessen by the summer of 2013. For no other club should Kirchhoff play more games in his career. He then moved to July 1, 2013 FC Bayern Munich.
He was unable to prevail against the German record champions and only played twelve times in the FCB jersey. During his time in Bavaria, Kirchhoff was sent to the FC Schalke 04 and Sunderland on loan. On Schalke he played 20 games and 23 games in Sunderland, England. Later he was to switch to the Bolton Wanderers, for whom he played four times before he returned to Germany and only played in Magdeburg (ten missions) and has been under contract with KFC Uerdingen since July 1, 2019.
