Jia Jingdong, Vivo Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy, revealed important details about the X Fold + ahead of its launch.
Quoted by Gizmochina, on Monday (19/9/2022), in April, Vivo unveiled Vivo X Fold as the first foldable phone in China. This device is not available in the global market. Jia confirmed that the company’s next foldable phone will be called the Vivo X Fold +.
Jia revealed that the Vivo X Fold + front and inner folding screens will support a refresh rate of 120Hz. He said the folding screen can be folded at different angles, such as 30 degrees, 90 degrees and 120 degrees. She added that the display has received 19 DisplayMate A + certifications.
As on the original Vivo X Fold, the cover and internal screen are integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Some reports claim it will feature the same 8.03-inch folding screen and 6.53-inch cover screen available on the Vivo X Fold.
Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold Plus will have the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 mobile platform. It will house a 4,730mAh battery, which will bring support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The X Fold has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a 4,600mAh battery and a 66W charging stand. Rumors are circulating that the X Fold + will inherit the 16MP front camera and 50MP quad camera that were available. on the original X Fold.
Jia shared the image above to tease the X Fold + design. The original model was made available in blue and black. As seen in the image, the X Fold + will be available in a new red color with a leather finish. A recent report claims it will come in 12GB RAM + 256GB and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage configurations.
