A judge has ordered Kevin Spacey to pay “House of Cards” production company MRC nearly $31 million for alleged sexual abuse behind the scenes of the Netflix White House drama, writes Variety.

The sum corresponds to around NOK 302 million.

House of Cards producer MRC cut ties with Spacey in 2017 due to a series of allegations of sexual harassment.

The organization launched an investigation after allegations emerged that Spacey had molested young men, including a production assistant who worked on the series.

The 62-year-old has lost several roles after the abuse allegations began to come in 2017, including from eight employees of the “House of Cards” staff. Spacey was fired from the lead role before the final season.

Recently, it became known that the actor convicted of assault will still not play in the blockbuster “1242 – Gateway to the West”. Originally, the 62-year-old was to play the lead role in the historical drama. The Oscar-winning actor will be replaced by another actor.

Spacey is accused of four assaults against three men in the period 2005 to 2013. He himself has denied guilt. This trial is scheduled for June next year.

The scandalized actor’s lawyer, Michael Kump, says in a statement to People Magazine that he and the client “are satisfied with the court’s ruling”.
