The man who led the Raiders Tirol through the Corona crisis and ended the last season as Austrian champions will be the Team lead into the first season in the European League of Football. Kevin Herron is and will remain Head Coach of RAIDERS Tirol.

Claudia Nuener, Club Manager SWARCO RAIDERS Tirol: “We look forward to continuing the good cooperation with Kevin Herron. We want to rely on proven structures and use existing skills. Kevin has struggled with many difficult challenges in his previous time as head coach and mastered them very confidently. With the ELF, there is now a new, exciting challenge. ”

Kevin Herron: “I could never imagine working full-time as head coach for any other organization. For me, RAIDERS Tirol is the best and most professional organization in European football, which creates the best possible conditions for us coaches and our players to be successful. It is a great honor for me to be part of this success story and to be able to lead RAIDERS Tirol into the next chapter of the club’s history – the ELF. ”

Herron (42) has been deeply anchored with the Tyroleans since 2011. At that time he came to the Inn as a linebackers coach. In 2016 he acted as head coach for the first time – back then in the German Football League for the Munich Cowboys.

However, he followed the call of the Tyroleans again the following year and took over the position of defensive coordinator from 2017. After the 2019 season, he took over the post of head coach from Shuan Fatah.

Due to the corona pandemic, however, Herron had to wait more than a year before he was finally able to play his first game as head coach of RAIDERS Tirol. In 2021 he led the Tyroleans to the final of the CEFL and to win the Austrian Bowl.
