Actor, comedian and producer Kevin Hart has entered into a long-term partnership with Netflix. He will star in four films, which he will also produce simultaneously with his production company HartBeat Productions, the streaming service confirms Monday. Deadline.
When those four films are made, the actor gets a so-called first look agreement. This means that Hart is the first to be offered new scenarios and can decide whether to sign up as a producer or actor. He previously had a similar agreement with Universal and Nickelodeon.
“Collaborating with Netflix is a great opportunity for HartBeat and myself,” says Hart. “I love acting and producing groundbreaking movies with Netflix.”
“Few performers can draw audiences of all ages and manage to create comedies, dramas and family films. We are delighted to be partnering with Kevin and his great team at Hartbeat to keep our audience entertained for years to come,” said one spokesperson for Netflix.
