Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige gave some vague but interesting information about various projects and missing or missing MCU characters at the D23 Brazil conference, the same event that debuted the new trailers Thunderbolts and Captain America: Brave New World.
Let’s start with Marvel’s problematic Blade film, whose release date Disney recently postponed originally announced for November 2025 and now to an undetermined date. Blade’s delay is hardly surprising given the problems behind the scenes. In June, news broke that director Yann Demange had left the project, which will star Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire slayer, if it ever comes to fruition.
This is the second time someone has quit as director, with Bassam Tariq having previously dropped out of the role due to a scheduling conflict that came to light before filming began. At the time, rumors claimed that Ali was frustrated with the lack of progress on the film, with production shutting down shortly after.

Speaking today to the Brazilian site OmeletFeige gave an update on Blade, insisting that the character will “come to the MCU.”
“We are dedicated to Blade,” Feige said. “We love the character, we love the version of Mahershala. And rest assured that every time we change direction with a project, or we’re still trying to figure out how it fits into our timeline, we let the public know . You know what’s happening, but I can tell you that the character will arrive in the MCU.
So, according to Feige, Mahershala Ali’s Blade will come out one day or another. But what about the future of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff?
Attention ! Spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Agatha All Along Season 1 below.
The Scarlet Witch seemingly died at the end of the 2022 MCU film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and did not make a spectacular return in the Disney+ series Agatha All Along, much to the disappointment of fans . Olsen recently confirmed that she would be willing to play the Scarlet Witch again, “if there’s a good way to use it.” So, has Feige found a good way to use it?
Always on OmeletFeige gave fans some information that has already got Scarlet Witch fans excited.
“We just released Agatha Forever on Disney+, and that series has been great for us,” he said. “Since then, fans have had a lot of questions about Wanda… All I can say is that we can’t wait to find out when and how Scarlet Witch might return.”
This isn’t absolute confirmation that Scarlet Witch will return to the MCU, but it seems like Feige wants to make it work.
As for Miles Morales, Feige was more categorical, insisting that “shortly after” the release of the third Spider-Verse film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, Miles will make his debut in the live action MCU.
“Miles will appear in the third Spider Verse, which is currently in production,” Feige told Omelet. “I hope that, soon after, he will be able to enter the MCU in live-action.”
Unfortunately, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse does not have a release date. Indeed, some speculate that it will only be released not before 2027we would therefore have to wait a few years before seeing Miles Morales in real action. It is interesting to note that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 will be released on July 24, 2026, two months after Avengers: Doomsday. Avengers: Secret Wars will be released on May 7, 2027.
Finally, Feige hinted that it may be a while before the X-Men make their full-fledged entrance into the MCU, telling Omelete that the X-Men will play an important role in the future after Secret Wars.
“When we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame years ago, it was about getting to the big finale of our story, and then we had to start all over again,” Feige said. “This time, on this path to Secret Wars, we already know very well what the story will be up to this point and beyond. The X-Men are an important part of that future,” he said. he commented.
In October, Marvel Studios added three untitled film projects to its 2028 release schedule: February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028, and November 10, 2028. It’s looking increasingly likely that one of these films will be X- Men.
It’s a lot for MCU fans to digest, but in the nearer term, Marvel Studios will release Captain America: Brave New World in February 2025, Thunderbolts* in May 2025, and the TV series Daredevil: Born Again in March and Ironheart in June. Phase 6 kicks off with Fantastic Four: First Steps in July.
