Through a interview to ColliderMarvel Studios President Kevin Feige spoke about the acquisition of the rights to Fox characters. Now, the inclusion of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, “helped to map out, with emotion and enthusiasm, decades of possible ideas”.

Based on this, it’s safe to assume that while Deadpool has a strong chance of appearing in other projects, Wolverine’s future remains unclear due to Jackman’s age and his interest in playing the superhero long-term. While he didn’t confirm the return of either, Feige hinted that talks are moving forward positively.
He added that due to the pandemic and the writers strike, it was not the original plan for just one Marvel movie to come out this year. However, accepted the good result.
“I like the idea that all this attention is focused on one movie and that one movie can get that attention because it’s pretty good.”
