Kevin de Bruyne signs new contract with Man City that will see the midfielder surpass the 10-year mark at Etihad – EzAnime.net

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Etihad until the summer of 2025.

The Belgian international, whose existing deal was due to expire in 2023, turns 30 in June and now looks ready to see most of the rest of his career at Etihad.

Kevin de Bruyne has promised his future to Manchester City

De Bruyne has had a brilliant spell since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015, winning seven major trophies, which could turn into 11 by the end of the season if City are successful in their quest for the quadruple.

But, disturbingly for the rest of Europe, he believes that the best is yet to come for him and Pep Guardiola’s team.

“Could not be happier. Since I joined City in 2015, I have felt like home, “he said. “I love the fans, my family is settled here in Manchester and my own game has developed really well.

“This football club is designed for success. It offers me everything I need to maximize my performance, so signing this contract was an easy decision.

“Pep and I see football in the same way. Having that relationship with a manager is very important to me because our goals are totally aligned and we want the same things.

“My focus now is to ensure that we have a successful end to the current campaign.

“Our results and performances so far have been excellent, but we must make sure we finish the season with the silverware we deserve.”
