Fans of the series “Yellowstone” were shocked by the announcement of the “Paramount Network”, which produces the work, in an official statement at the end of the season, at the end of the fifth season.
The announcement represented a new blow to the action hero, actor Kevin Costner, days after Christine Baumgartner announced that he had formally requested a divorce, after a marriage that lasted 19 years.
The news came about two weeks after Kevin Costner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, denied what was rumored that he had stopped filming his scenes in the series, and that he would completely terminate his contract, provided that it would be his last season in the series.
The final episodes are expected to be shown next November on NBC, Peacock, and Apple TV +, in addition to Paramount.
According to the statement, Kevin Costner, who has led the cast as John Dutton since 2018, will leave the series, in its current fifth season.

The Paramount statement revealed that Matthew McConaughey will star in the new work, which will mark the beginning of a new phase with a different title, and will be directed by Taylor Sheridan, who directed the five parts, to be shown in December 2023 on the Paramount Cable network.
Informed sources revealed to “The Independent” that the conflicts between the series’ hero, Costner, and its director, Sheridan, have exacerbated greatly between them, in addition to Costner’s preparation for a huge work of the same kind, entitled “Horizon”.
The sources confirmed that the new series will be huge so as not to be overtaken by the new Costner series, and to preserve the views achieved by the previous “Yellowstone” seasons.
