Anderson explains the reasons for his return

“Coming from South Africa and not having had the opportunity to meet some of the best players in the world, I was always a bit intimidated.

And it was very interesting, because in the first minutes of our conversation I felt the same kind of concern, I felt very elusive,” he confesses. And then: “I made an effort to change my look and stuff.

You never know what you’re going to get, and it was a great experience for me,” Anderson said. “If I could do my career all over again, I probably wouldn’t have spent as many hours by myself on the practice field, but I would have interacted or I would have put in situations.

I ended up having a great conversation with Roger and for the first time I felt really comfortable and had a normal conversation,” he explained. Finally: “It was great to hear his advice.

It made me think about things that I had never considered about the game and I said to myself that maybe it was worth going back”, concluded the South African. Roger Federer is still closely related to the world of tennis, the Swiss said goodbye to the professional circuit last year, but it doesn’t stop being news.
